"The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, heavy fighting is ongoing. About 20 combat clashes took place over the last 24 hours," the General Staff said.

It added that amid successful combat operations conducted by Ukraine's Defense Forces and significant enemy losses in manpower, the number of members of Russian occupation forces refusing to participate in combat operations has increased. In particular, in the area of the village of Rozivka, Zaporizhzhia region, about 20 Russian soldiers refused to carry out combat missions in forward positions. After that, they were taken into custody and moved to the building of the Rozivka district court.

In addition, the aircraft of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched six strikes on the enemy's troop concentration areas, two on anti-aircraft missile systems and one on the enemy's command post. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed two Russian reconnaissance UAVs.

Throughout the day, Ukrainian rocket and artillery units hit a command post, seven artillery pieces and the enemy's electronic warfare station.
